This directory contains demonstration programs: =========================================================== 1: 20 spm GAJ ALGOL.flx 2: 20spm.flx 3: TYVES (tyves) rhak.flx 4: 20spmin.flx 5: tyves Kopi 75.02.10 GA4 rhak.flx Different copies of the "20 questions" game. You'll have to think of a country, and GIER will guess it in 20 question. Note, this game is old; geography has changed since then. Tape 1 is in GIER ALGOL III Tape 2 is in GIER ALGOL 4 Tape 3 is binary Tape 4 contains input data read by the program. When the program finishes, a new tape with statistics is produced on the punch. Use this tape for the next run. Tape 5 is in GIER ALGOL 4. Read the tape by "r<", and it will install itself so that it can be started by "run, tyves<". I've modified the program so that the statistics are stored on the disc. =========================================================== Euklids algoritme.flx SLIP program. I don't know how it works. =========================================================== Fred + Winnie GA4 algol rhak.flx Read by "r<". Direct output on 64 to the line printer, using the aux. control board. Prints out pictures of Winston Churchill and Fred Flintstone. =========================================================== GIER orgel.flx Primitive "organ". Read by "r,slip<". Use the typewriter as the keyboard =========================================================== Glædelig jul HJÆLP.flx Plays a Christmas song. Load the "HJÆLP" system, and read this tape by "_l". =========================================================== MUSIK.flx The tape contains a series of music program. Each is read in by "r<". =========================================================== Madonna ga4.flx Direct unit 64 to the line printer before starting this program by "r<". Prints the same picture on the line printer over and over again. =========================================================== Pindespil - rhak 30.07.72.flx I don't know what this does. =========================================================== SORTEPER.flx I don't know how this works. =========================================================== bach.flx Read by "r<". Plays BWV 147. =========================================================== 1: GIER DEMON 1D algol3hak 770303.flx 2: Demon 1E Algol III.flx 3: demon1.flx 4: demon1e.flx 5: demon3.flx 6: demon3_ga3.flx 7: demon5.flx 8: demon5i.flx 9: demon5i2.flx 10: demon7.flx These are all demonstration programs written by my father, Jørgen Kjær, working for Haldor Topsøe. Tapes 1-4 are old versions of later demonstration programs. Those I found on tapes that have been distributed to other GIER installations. Tapes 5-11 are programs I've typed in from my fathers documentation of these programs. Tape 1: Originally written in GIER ALGOL II, but a wrapper block is included so that it will run under GIER ALGOL III. This is the Danish version. Tape 2: English version Tape 3: Binary? Tape 4: Demon 1E. English version. I've translated this so that it will run under GIER ALGOL 4. Tape 5: Demon 3: The game of Nim. I've translated this into GIER ALGOL 4. Tape 6: Original GIER ALGOL III version of Demon 3. Tape 7: Demon 5. Calculation with large numbers. Tape 8: Input tape, required by Demon 5. The program starts by reading a set of commands from paper tape, demonstrating the command system used by the program. Tape 9: Alternate input tape for Demon 5. Calculates exp(pi*sqrt(n)) where n is an integer from 1 to 163. Tape 10: Demon 7. Calculation of prime numbers. =========================================================== ugedag help3 rhak.flx I don't know how this tape work.
